This delicious one skillet Amish Chicken Pot Pie with Dumplings meal is made on top of the stove. There is no canned soup in this one! These homemade dumplings are simple to add to the already easy Amish Chicken Pot Pie.

Ingredients
In a large deep skillet heat
theĀ oil over medium heat.
Add the onion and chicken then stir.
Add the carrots and celery.
Stir everything together.
Cook covered, until the chicken is cooked through,
stirring frequently. This should take about 5 minutes.
Add the salt, pepper and thyme.
Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer for about 5-10 minutes
or until the carrots are tender.
While the vegetables cook prepare the
dumplings. In a small bowl add the Bisquick
and 1/3 cup of milk. Whisk together with a
fork just until combined. Mixture will be thick.
