Coffee Break Poetry

This is just some free writing that was done at a point in my life when I realized it wasn’t about what others thought or what feelings others could fulfill for me. We are in charge of our own happiness. This is something that most people know from a much younger age than I. It’s something that I have struggled with for a long time. I still forget these things once in a while and so this brought me back to a time when I felt empowered to be my own hero, my own love, my own best friend.

I Want To Be The One

I want to be the one to take away your pain.

The one to save you from your fears.

The one to help you sleep at night.

The one to look into your eyes each morning,

say “Good Morning Beautiful”, and have a cup of coffee on the balcony.

End each day watching the sunset over the water.

I want to be the one to give you all my love,

My unconditional love and unwavering support.

You deserve to be happy.

To feel free, to feel loved, to feel important.

You’re worth it.

There’s no better way to fulfill all of our desires and needs…

Than being our own true love ❤ ❤

That, right there, is what love is all about. Well written, Angie. How are you holding out in the summer heat. We had a short break between heat waves here and even a bit of rain, but not enough. Have a great Thursday. Allan

Not nearly enough rain here, the marshes are drying up. The big heat wave was horrible haha, but we all made it through okay. It wasn’t near as bad as BC! More above 30 days again. How about you guys? Hard to stay cool in that kind of heat! Thanks for reading Allan!
