It’s been awhile, I apologize 😦 There’s been a lot happening here in my small little neck of the woods and it’s been literally impossible to find any time to get on my computer. I wanted to touch base and let you know that I am in the process of trying to catch up with everyone (there’s a lot of reading to do!) but it may be a couple of weeks before I have some breathing space again. I tried so hard not to let life get in the way but sometimes we just have to go with it and always have faith that it’s all going to work out in the end. It’s hard to let go of the wheel when you’re wearing a blindfold, but where’s the adventure in knowing what’s around the next corner all the time?
I have had a few people reach out to me and I can’t express how much that meant to me. I absolutely love this community and you all mean so much to me! I’ve been working 5 days a week, gone for 12 a day and still trying to keep up with housework (it’s never ending), laundry (I’m drowning in it), kids appointments, school functions, dance twice a week for the kids and all the in between stuff as well as looking after me. I’m exhausted but it’s definitely been keeping me out of trouble. I’m grateful that I’m able to pick up so many hours at my place of work when I need it, and blessed to have a car that I trust to be on the highway 2 hours a day. We have dance competitions starting again in March which means more travel 😀 Our first one this year is in Red Deer and I’m so excited to get to spend a few days there with one of my favorite and most supportive friends.
So…without getting myself into yet another blubbering mess, I will just drop this here for everyone and spend my next hour catching up as much as I can before I’m out the door again.

You sound like my daughter. She works a full day, then one of the kids has to go to dance, the grandson to hockey. Then keep house.
She has taught the kids how to do more of the chores like laundry and loading the dish washer.
I get exhausted when she tells me what her days are like.
Moms sometimes do not get the credit they so much deserve!

Hockey moms have got to be part super human lol. I don’t know how they can get it all done plus manage the travelling that comes with hockey! She is an incredible Mom!

I don’t know how she does it.
I feel exhausted just thinking about her schedule… 🙂

I loved this line: “It’s hard to let go of the wheel when you’re wearing a blindfold, but where’s the adventure in knowing what’s around the next corner all the time?”
Do what you gotta do 🙂 sometimes life just won’t have it any other way.
