This has to be the hands down favorite in my house. Super moist and healthier than most muffins. Who doesn’t’ enjoy a good carrot muffin? I just avoid mentioning the “zucchini” part with my kids around! 1 cup rolled oats2 cups flour3/4 cup brown sugar3 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt2/3 cup skim milk3 […]

Hi! First off, thanks for popping in! I started this blog for a number of reasons and if you look through the posts you will see all sorts of randomness. I'm a mom of 3 living in a small village in Saskatchewan. We are a household that is on the go a lot with the nearest city an hour away. We love reading, going for walks, playing at as many parks as we can find and just hanging out.
I struggle with anxiety, depression, & ptsd but strive to find the positive in the every day ordinary moments and thank the good Lord for all the blessings I have :)
My Mental Health journey has recently reminded me of my love for all kinds of art, writing poetry being the first to reintroduce myself to. It's hard to open up and let those feelings flow after being buried so deep for so long.
I have a little bit of everything here so I won't take it personally if you don't like or connect to everything I write, but I do really appreciate you being here and sharing in this journey of me re-discovering my true self through words and thoughts that don't always make sense to anyone but myself :D
The Night Before I have all these plans of what I want to do and what I should be doing and honestly thinking that I could do it all. That’s simply not realistic. Tomorrow is the first day of school here for 2/3 of my kids. The youngest start next Monday. Everyone is excited to […]

Freeze them individually and pop them in the lunch the night before and they thawed for lunch 🙂 I like these because they are really versatile. You […]
Meloncholic Mermaid
I really enjoyed this book. It held the attention of all my kids and was beautifully illustrated by Abigail Halpin. Kallie George did an incredible job with this! Maude was born a little different than other merbabies and faces a lot of teasing from the other merchildren because of it. Just when she thinks things […]
Where Did It Go?
I managed to get a few posts done and ready to get me through for a few days while I am working with not a lot of time for the blog. It’s something that I found can be helpful with this busy and unpredictable life of mine 🙂 Not that I have utilized it a […]
