We’ve been so blessed with raspberries this year! A family down the highway a little ways heard from our neighbor that we’ve been using his raspberries because he doesn’t do anything with them. In return I make him jam 🙂 The family dug up a bunch of their bushes since they didn’t need so many […]

Hi! First off, thanks for popping in! I started this blog for a number of reasons and if you look through the posts you will see all sorts of randomness. I'm a mom of 3 living in a small village in Saskatchewan. We are a household that is on the go a lot with the nearest city an hour away. We love reading, going for walks, playing at as many parks as we can find and just hanging out.
I struggle with anxiety, depression, & ptsd but strive to find the positive in the every day ordinary moments and thank the good Lord for all the blessings I have :)
My Mental Health journey has recently reminded me of my love for all kinds of art, writing poetry being the first to reintroduce myself to. It's hard to open up and let those feelings flow after being buried so deep for so long.
I have a little bit of everything here so I won't take it personally if you don't like or connect to everything I write, but I do really appreciate you being here and sharing in this journey of me re-discovering my true self through words and thoughts that don't always make sense to anyone but myself :D
Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan
This is a place I used to visit regularly with my Grandparents and a place I wish for my kids to have many fond memories as well. The first place I always visit when arriving is the train station where a small replica of the ferry that my Great Grandpa operated sits. I always love […]
The Apple Of My Eye
I have officially ran out of apples in my freezer 😮 Thank goodness my tree is overflowing and soon I will have my work cut out for me again with all the cutting, peeling, coring, measuring, packaging. It’s an exciting time 🙂 I love summer but oh the heat! This summer has been either rainy […]
While My Sister Sleeps
The author of this book is Barbara Delinsky. While My Sister Sleeps was originally published in 2009. I started this book July 31 and to be honest I really didn’t know how I was feeling about it before I started it. I picked it because I was in a hurry and I needed something – […]
Wait. Did You Say It’s August??
I don’t know about anyone else but it feels like July didn’t happen this year! The summers always go super fast but it seems this one has been the fastest yet. It’s already the beginning of August and this means we need to start thinking of back to school. This is a really frustrating time […]
