Found out n Saturday that there is a positive case in my son’s Kindergarten class. Everyone is now isolating. When the nights have got to -50 and (last night) -54 with the wind chill, the days have been at -40 without the wind chill…I can’t think of a better time to be stuck in the house and not allowed to leave 😀
My oldest took the news in stride and didn’t let it bother him. He’s the one that loves school the most. My daughter was the most disappointed until I told her that most of her class wasn’t going to be there anyway due to the cold. Then she felt much better.
Today is day 3 of isolating and we finally have the internet working again. We have been without t.v and internet and boy, that has been a bit challenging. We’ve been drawing, playing games, cards, making bracelets, paper airplanes, etc. When the internet was working again this morning, we were all more than glad! We immediately got my oldest set up with his school mates online and he’s been trucking along with them all morning.
Today I am grateful my son has a way to stay connected to his teacher and classmates and that he loves school enough to want to!
My computer time is up for the time being, another meeting with his class in 6 minutes.
Hope everyone is staying warm wherever you are! What has your weather been like?

I feel your pain – it’s cold here too, though not as bad as there. It hurts to breathe… hibernation is a great idea!

Yes, it hurts to breathe. I often wonder just why so many of us choose to live where the air hurts our faces and it hurts to breathe. I also don’t like it too hot or bugs… So that’s mainly my why Lol!

Yes and at least the extreme cold usually only lasts a few weeks per year…(define “few”)…😆

Hope the quarantine is uneventful Angie. Interesting times, for sure, especially with all this cold weather. Stay well Angie. Allan

Thank you Allan. Yes, I’m just glad it’s not +23 and the kids are stuck inside. Stay warm!

I hope the quarantine only brings negative news about the virus. However, I agree it is a good time to stay indoors here in frosty Saskatchewan!

Oy, that’s scary. Glad you’re all isolating and the internet is back up. I hope your family stays well. It sounds like you’re all keeping busy. 🙂
Over here, weather has been nice. But this evening an Arctic blast is coming through. They say it will reach our coldest winter temps here in N. Texas. Nothing like your neck of the woods. 😉

Oh my word, stuck inside with these frigid temps with no internet or tv has been a bit of a challenge. I’m just glad we got it all working again for school work.
Stay warm for your cold spell!
