Making monthly goals is not something I do. The reason is I lose my focus. My goals are simple this month so I hope that doesn’t happen!

This month I want to focus on FUN! The kids want to go out to the lake more, I want to spend more time at the parks with them, I want to blow bubbles and play badminton and throw water balloons! I just want to make this month (this whole summer honestly) as memorable as it can be.

I want to throw myself my first birthday party since I was 15. A friend threw me my 16th but I couldn’t go because I was grounded. Being arrested and needing my parents to get me form the police station is apparently not the ticket to freedom. So this year I turn 40. June 26th to be exact. Wow, does that ever seem crazy. There’s still so much to learn and do!

I have to chuckle at the fact that 2 of my friends turned grandmas this year already (one is turning 40 soon and the other already there) and I’m still dealing toilet accidents from my youngest and my oldest is only 10. They laugh at me because they’re long past that part of life with their own.

Hope your week is going smoothly. I hear tomorrow is the day things will move into the next phase here in Saskatchewan. How are things looking where you’re from?

Hope you achieve all your June goals while staying safe, Angie. If you think 40 is a big number, try 66, soon to be 67. I have nobody to call me Grandpa yet and may never have, but that is OK. Age is only a state of mind and my mind says I’m only 30. Allan
