And Here We Are…

I can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that here we are, halfway through November already! The last thing I remember is Halloween coming too fast and not having costumes yet. Then Halloween came, the trick or treating was uneventful, there was a red balloon and BAM! I’m in the middle of November and there’s Christmas stuff everywhere!

We had a surprise party for my husband on Friday for his 40th, and I had my best friend visit from Red Deer Alberta (haven’t seen her in about 2 years, it’s just not that easy to make long trips with little ones) and we had such a great but short visit. She arrived at 10:30 pm and we stayed up until 2 am catching up, and continued our visit the next day for a couple of hours before she headed out again and I hit the road for work. I miss her like crazy and we both have super busy lives and live in different provinces. I need to make more of an effort I think.

Time really got away from me! I started babysitting for a bit of extra cash, with winter here and my husband about to be laid off just before Christmas, it’s a scary time. Everyone is talking Christmas and I have to wonder how it’s all going to play out. It’ll work out somehow, I’m sure.
