Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award

I’d like to thank Dwain from rts for nominating me for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award.

award

Rules:

Thank the person that nominated you with a link to their blog.

Make a post of the award (with a photo.)

Post the rules.

Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.

Nominate 10-30 other bloggers.

Follow Vincent Ehindero at vincentehindero.wordpress.com (to qualify for a free blog promotion and shoutout) and more blogging opportunities.

My Questions from Dwain are:

  1. If you could be anyone, living or dead, who would that be?
  2. Using just one word how would you describe yourself?
  3. Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert?
  4. Name one thing that if you had the means to do it what would that be?
  5. Are you a cat or dog person, or maybe both?

I really don’t think I would rather be anyone but myself! That being said, if I had the opportunity to be someone else temporarily then I would choose all sorts of options. I would want to experience life from all view points, from all places, from all genders, from all colors. I want to experience life as a child in a third world country, as a parent in a third world country, as a prisoner wrongfully being held in a foreign place, all the way up to a day in the life of a Queen. I would love to see what kind of impact one decision as a queen would have on someone at the very bottom of the pole.

I would probably describe myself as a dreamer.

I don’t really know what I am. I think I’m more of an introvert. I love to be away from people! I also love meeting new people and going out and having crazy fun (like roasting hot dogs on an open fire in the middle of a forest lol), I love spending time with friends. I have to have it in very small doses and under my own circumstances when I feel I can handle it. I sometimes take a few days to mentally prepare myself to go out into the real world where there are humans.

If I had the means to travel the world, that’s what I would do. I would just work my way through each province/state, and country and soak in as much knowledge as possible. I want to see everything, I want to taste the beauty of every corner of this amazing and magical place we call Earth.

I am an animal lover. They don’t even have to be cute and cuddly, a bearded dragon is as welcome to an Angie cuddle as a little bunny is 😀 And if I don’t like the animal, like a spider, I will still try my best to get the thing outside alive and unharmed ha ha!

I have a hard time thinking of people to nominate mostly because I’m worried that I will forget someone and hurt their feelings, or I will somehow end up disappointing them with the nomination somehow. And so, at the risk of disappointing…I nominate all my wonderful WordPress friends for this one. If you have stopped by and read this I encourage you to continue passing this award on and asking your own questions!

My questions to you are:

  1. What was your very first job and why did you leave it?
  2. If you could recommend a certain place for someone to live, where would it be?
  3. One piece of advice you would give your teenage self.
  4. What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?
  5. Your favorite comfort food?
  6. Coffee or Tea?
  7. If you could have any super power of your choice, what would it be?

Thank you so much Dwain for the nomination, and I apologize it took me so long to do!!

If you wish to participate but do not want to do your own post, please feel free to post your answers in the comments below! I would love to hear your responses 😀

Blogger Recognition Award

The Blogger Recognition Award is an online award given by bloggers to other bloggers as a way of recognizing the efforts they put into their site. I was nominated by Allan who has a fantastic and fun-filled blog about his adventures and life in Canada. He shares some fascinating photos and includes loads of humor and personality in his posts. Be sure to check it out!

Rules for the Blogger Recognition Award:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and add a link to their blog
  • Write a blog post on your site displaying the award
  • Describe why you started your blog
  • Write two pieces of advice for the new bloggers
  • Nominate and notify 11-15 other bloggers

Why I Started This Blog:

I was at a really low point with my mental health and I was struggling with life, motherhood, work, and everything that so many of us have on our plates. I felt like I could barely keep my head above the water. It was recommended to me that I start journalling my thoughts and feelings to make sense of them. I tried and it just didn’t work, I must’ve been doing it wrong… So I thought maybe it could help me re-discover the voice within myself. To hear my thoughts again. I named it Mama Coffee Chat because I wanted it to just be a bunch of stuff that I, as a mom, would talk about to a friend over coffee. But after awhile I realized that it was really about me figuring out who I am. Learning to accept myself and love myself despite my flaws and maybe even learn to embrace those flaws.

Two Pieces Of Advice For New Bloggers:

  1. I suggest finding a few blogs that you can relate to, ones you find interesting, and maybe a couple that inspire you to try new things. Follow them, binge read them if you want, just get yourself introduced to how things work first. This will also inspire writing topics for you to try and test the waters with. It will give you practice with the writing process and get you comfortable with your writing style.
  2. Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you’re disappointed with numbers then you need to re-evaluate why you’re doing this. If you’re not enjoying your experience here then you need to look at you WHY and determine what’s next. Be yourself! There are so many supportive fellow bloggers here that accept you and you matter 🙂 Don’t be afraid to ask questions, we all need to start somewhere and that’s how we learn. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere!
