Protect Grocery Store Employees —Re-Blogged From Everyday Lillie

I found this post too encouraging NOT to share 🙂 I work in retail and we get pooped on in the best of circumstances. I believe we all need to share more kindness in these uncertain times. Please take a few minutes to check it out. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what should and should not remain open during this crisis. A few minutes ago there was a Civil Emergency Alert sent out. It concerns me.

Protect Grocery Store Employees — Everyday Lillie

By Angie

Hi! First off, thanks for popping in! I started this blog for a number of reasons and if you look through the posts you will see all sorts of randomness. I'm a mom of 3 living in a small village in Saskatchewan. We are a household that is on the go a lot with the nearest city an hour away. We love reading, going for walks, playing at as many parks as we can find and just hanging out.
I struggle with anxiety, depression, & ptsd but strive to find the positive in the every day ordinary moments and thank the good Lord for all the blessings I have :)
My Mental Health journey has recently reminded me of my love for all kinds of art, writing poetry being the first to reintroduce myself to. It's hard to open up and let those feelings flow after being buried so deep for so long.
I have a little bit of everything here so I won't take it personally if you don't like or connect to everything I write, but I do really appreciate you being here and sharing in this journey of me re-discovering my true self through words and thoughts that don't always make sense to anyone but myself :D

I never understood why anyone would go ballistic on company staff who are simply trying to serve customers. They seldom are the reason for the customer’s problems or state of mind and are simply trying to do their jobs. Allan

This is so very true Allan. And I think people know this but when we’re stressed out or going through something hard, we sometimes tend to take things out on others unfortunately 😦

I got to go to Seniors shopping hour at Sobeys this AM. Very civilized. I bagged my own groceries and paid by tap (no paper receipt please). I threw my cards into the bag. Back outside the store, I gelled my hands and then put my gloves on. Back home, all groceries were washed/wiped as applicable (and my cards). Overboard? Time will tell, I guess. Stay well everyone.
